Hyderabad, September 10..: Chakravakam, a daily telugu tele serial which has been winning the hearts of telugu families in Andhra Pradesh, India and abroad reaches a milestone achievement by reaching 1000th episode on 11th September. It is probably the first every TV serial in entire South India to reach such a stage. Started on 3rd November, 2003 at afternoon slot, it was promoted to prime time due to its popularity.
Disclosing this addressing a press conference in city today along with the entire starcast of the serial Ms. P. Manjula Naidu and Mr. Pallamala Sudhakar, Producer of the serial informed that to mark the occasion and celebrate this unique achievement a get together of everybody associated with serial is being organized at Alankrita Resorts in the city outskirts.
The concept of the daily serial 'Chakravakam' is a high power emotional drama. A passionately told saga of love, sacrifice, hatred intrigue, violence and revenge. Portrays how difficult it can be to maintain family ties in times of extreme stress, how the most innocent of acts can be so misunderstood by those we love. A skilled conformation of the question basic to family life. When our children and parents cannot live up to our expectations, can love survive?
Speaking on the occasion Ms. Manjula Naidu, Director of the serial said the serial will lost till audience want it. The secret for the success of the serial is reflection of socio econmic problem of the society. It's strength lies in its story line of love, sacrifice, hatred intrigue etc.
Further she added that Chakravakam is not just a serial, but, a great family melodrama involving everybody in the family. So, the serial has become my way of life, she added. We have seen many fans to film heroes, but, the starcast of the serial has fans in film industry. That is the unique achievement of the serial, she added.
In a era of dubbling serials from other languages, Chakravakam is made here in Hyderabad and proved critics that we have abundant talent here in Hyderabad, she informed.
It is produced by Srikant Entertainment Pvt. ltd(formerly Srikanth Productions Pvt. Ltd). It is directed by manjula Naidu and produced by Sudhakar Pallamala(Jishnu). Bindhu Naidu is the Script Writer. The star cast of the serial is A.R. C. Babu(Character in the serial Raghu Varma), Ramaprabha(Raghavamma), Selvaraj(Iqbal/Irfan), Madhu(James), BHEL Prasad(Wilson), Jackey(Indra), Preeti Nigam(Sravanthi), Ramakrishna(Penarjee), Sagar(Jagan), Medha(Vennela), Likhitha(Sameera) and others.
The serial is on air on Gemini TV AT 8.30PM Monday to Friday.The entire starcast of the serial Mr. A.R.C. Babu, Ms. Ramaprabha, Mr. Selvaraj, Mr. Madhu, Mr. Bhel Prasad, Ms. Vennella, Ms. Sameera, Mr. Jakky, Ms. Preethy Nigam, Mr. Ramakrishna are present in the press conference.

Chakravakam is a highly popular Telugu serial created by Manjula Naidu. The show airs on Gemini TV.
Chakravakam, a version of this serial translated into Malayalam, airs on Surya TV. A version translated into Kannada entitled Chakravaka airs in Udaya TV.
A repeat telecast of the show first aired on 11 July 2016 at 2:30pm on Gemini TV, A total of 1,111 episodes have aired thus far. [1]

Awards[edit]
Chakravakam topped the poll in the Andhra Pradesh Cinegoers' Television Awards in 2006, winning seven awards including the best actress award and best character actor and actress.[2] The previous November, the serial won a best male playback singer award at the Nandi Awards.[3]
